The 2014 film truly was one of those projects where the villain’s performance outshines the hero’s! And now, it’s time for the sequel.
The 2nd instalment ‘Ek Villain Returns’ is being directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms. This time the film has an ensemble cast of – John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria.
Talking about Ek Villain Returns, Suri had previously told Indian Express– “In this film, the girls are also playing villains. Me and Ekta are trying to build on a whole series of villains and different characters, who are all connected to each other.”
The makers announced today that the sequel has locked in Valentine’s weekend, it will be hitting the big screens exactly a year from now on 11th February 2022!
Did you know the movie was initially titled as ‘Do Villain’? Not only that, Aditya Roy Kapur was supposed to be one of the male leads but he quit the project over creative differences. And Arjun Kapoor landed up with the role.
