For the 2nd time this month, shooting of Janhvi Kapoor’s movie ‘Good Luck Jerry’ was halted in Punjab due to farmers’ protest.
Previously, the filming had been disrupted at Bassi Pathana in Fatehgarh Sahib, when the farmers’ groups demanded Janhvi’s public statement about the protests.
The Dhadak actress had then taken to her Insta stories to issue a statement, hoping for a beneficial resolution for the farmers-
As per Bollywood Hungama report, the ‘Good Luck Jerry’ unit were shooting on the Bhupindra Road in Patiala when a group of farmers started protesting outside the location chanting ‘‘Janhvi Kapoor go back’
Reportedly, the team had to wrap up the shoot early as the atmosphere got tense. Bollywood Hungama also learned that the protestors sat on a dharna outside Janhvi’s hotel, and the police had to step in to avoid any casualties.
As per an Indian Express report, protester Rajwant Singh Sandhu commented – “We are telling the film industry which is holding its shooting in Punjab to at least speak in favour of farmers who are agitating against the legislations.”
Another protester said, “We are opposing Bollywood actors for not extending support to farmers.”
