The hype for Coolie No. 1 actor Varun Dhawan’s wedding to his longtime girlfriend Natasha Dalal is REAL.
Recently, reports went rife that the lovebirds were getting hitched in January itself and had locked down ‘Alibaug’ as the wedding destination.
The latest report by Pinkvilla even went on to say that Varun’s parents had sent out e-invites asking people to save their dates from January 22 to 25. 24th January 2021 had reportedly been pencilled in for the big, fat Punjabi wedding with Sangeet and Mehendi functions on 22nd and 23rd January respectively.
Naturally, the fans were super-excited at hearing this news…but, but, but….. Are the wedding bells really ringing or is it just a false alarm?
When TOI reached out to the Dhawan family, Varun’s actor uncle Anil Dhawan RUBBISHED these reports!
He commented laughing – “WOW, I am surprised. They are marrying this month, and we didn’t know? Are they going to invite us last moment? Itna secret rakh rahe hai kya?”
He further added, “These stories have been floating since a long time. Last year there was a buzz that the two were getting married in May. Whatever it is, as a family we have been persuading him to get married soon. I feel this is one ritual you got to do it in time. There is no point prolonging it. Do it in time or just don’t do it!”
“We have been telling him to skip plans of hosting grand celebrations, instead do a simple intimate ceremony aur bas ladki ko jaldi ghar le aao,” he concluded.
