The sudden death of Bollywood Music Composer Wajid Khan has left everyone shattered.
Recently, the late music composer’s wife Kamalrukh Khan has opened up about her in-laws harassing her to convert.
On Saturday, the late musician’s wife penned down her sufferings from ‘inter-caste marriage’ with Wajid. Kamalrukh, who belongs to the Parsi community, also shared her ordeal on how her in-laws harassed her to convert to Islam.
And now, Kangana has come up in support of Wajid’s wife. In a series of tweets, the ‘Queen’ actress tagged PM Narendra Modi and voiced her opinion.
Kangana took to Twitter and wrote, “Parsis are the genuine minority in this nation, they did not come as invaders they came as seekers and gently requested for mother India’s love. Their small population have hugely contributed to the beauty- growth and economy of this nation.” Check out the tweet:
She further added, “She is my friends widow a Parsi woman who is being harassed by her family for conversion. I want to ask @PMOIndia minority that don’t do sympathy seeking drama, beheadings, riots and conversions, how are we protecting them? Parsis shockingly decreasing numbers.”
Kamalrukh shared how she was made an outcast by Wajid’s family and how her in-laws used “scare tactics to make her convert included taking her to court seeking a divorce.”
Sharing the long post on Instagram, she captioned it, “Live and let live should be the only religion we all practice. #anticonversionact #noreligion #liveandletlive #respect #respectwomen #unityindiversity #acceptpeopleforwhotheyare #love #intercastemarriage #mutualrespect.”
Nobody from Wajid’s family has reacted to her claims so far.
