The theatres may have opened in India but cinema lovers are still reluctant to go.
Manoj Bajypayee-Diljit Dosanjh starrer ‘Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari’ was the first new film to hit the theatres after lockdown on Diwali, but it still recorded pitiful footfall.
While most films like Varun Dhawan-Sara Ali Khan starrer ‘Coolie No.1’, Bhumi Pednekar’s ‘Durgamati: The Myth’, and Sanjay Dutt’s ‘Torbaaz’ have stuck to the OTT route, Kiara Advani starrer ‘Indoo Ki Jawani’ has decided to opt for a theatrical release.
Moreover, the film production giant T-series has also decided to back the cause of sustaining theatres. As per a Peeping Moon report, T-Series is set to release around 7 films between December and February 2021.
Reportedly these films are small-budget dramas that have been shot and ready for a while.
