The ongoing drug probe case in Mumbai is continuing to involve big names from the entertainment industry.
Now Narcotics Control Bureau has arrested comedian Bharti Singh and her writer-husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa.
According to The Indian EXPRESS report, a day after Bharti Singh’s arrest, her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa also was arrested by the NCB in the drugs case.
As per reports, after receiving a tip-off from the drug peddlers, a team of NCB officials conducted a raid at Singh’s office and residence on Saturday and seized 86.5 grams of ganja.
As per the latest Peeping Moon report, Bharti and Haarsh are sent to judicial custody for 14 days till 4th December.
Meanwhile, both Haarsh and Bharti admitted to the consumption of ganja. An NCB official stated, “Singh’s name had cropped up during the interrogation of a drug peddler.”
On Saturday, NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede confirmed Bharti’s arrest under the provisions of the NDPS Act 1986.
The report further revealed that Bharti has been taken for a medical examination and her husband, Haarsh, and two other peddlers are also there.
Bharti Singh-Haarsh Limbachiyaa had been taken to the NCB office for questioning at 2 PM on Saturday and Bharati Singh was arrested at around 6:30 PM. At that time, Haarsh Limbachiyaa was still being questioned.
Bharti has appeared in many comedy and reality shows on TV. At present, she is hosting ‘India’s Best Dancer’ with her husband Harsh. Bharti is also a part of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’.
