After the Narcotics Control Bureau started investigating the SSR case drug angle, the probe into Bollywood drug nexus has deepened.
On Sunday, the NCB raided ‘Welcome’ Producer Firoz Nadiadwala’s house. They arrested his wife Shabana Saeed after ganja was found at their residence.
As per News18 report, a team of NCB sleuths seized 10 grams of ganja from the Nadiadwala’s Juhu residence. This contraband was procured from the arrested drug peddler – Wahid Abdul Kadir Shaikh alias Sultan Mirza.
An HT report states that the anti-drugs agency had arrested Wahid based on a tip-off, and he’d named Shabana while being questioned.
On Sunday, NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede confirmed Shabana’s arrest under section 67 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Firoz has also been summoned for questioning in the case.
Talking to SpotboyE, Firoz said, “The truth will be out. Pray for me, bhai.” However, he did not make any comment on the allegations of procurement of drugs levelled against Shabana.
Firoz is the grandson of producer A K Nadiadwala and cousin of filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala.
Firoz is a prominent producer in Bollywood and has produced several films including Welcome, Welcome Back, Phir Hera Pheri, Aan: Men At Work, Awara Paagal Deewana, Ghar Ho To Aisa and others.
