NCB probing the SSR case, recently arrested Showik Chakraborty and Samuel Miranda. Rhea Chakraborty also joined the NCB investigation yesterday.
As per India Today report, Rhea reportedly admitted that she was procuring drugs for Sushant through her brother Showik Chakraborty. She said she has procured drugs but never consumed them.
The report further stated that Rhea told NCB officials that she knew about Samuel Miranda who went to buy drugs from Zaid on March 17. According to her confession, Rhea not only knew about the deal but she was also coordinating with the drug peddler Zaid along with her brother Showik Chakraborty.
Rhea admitted that the chats from March 15 were true where she and Showik were talking about drugs, implying that she was procuring drugs for Sushant through her brother.
Rhea also knew that Showik used to score drugs from the arrested drug peddler Bashit, who visited her house once.
NCB officials will be questioning Rhea for the second time as they have not got a confession from her regarding consumption of drugs. Rhea said she did not procure the drugs directly neither did she transport the drugs. Rhea said she hasn’t received and delivered the said drug, so NCB officials are trying to extract a confession from her.
Showik Chakraborty “dealt in drugs with many others”, the NCB told a court in Mumbai. Showik and Samuel Miranda are in NCB’s custody till September 9.
