People have been flooding Twitter with wishes of a speedy recovery to Bachchan family, whose four members – Amitabh, Abhishek, Aishwarya and Aaradhya Bachchan have tested Covid-19 Positive. Jaya Bachchan and the rest of the family tested negative though.
While Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya are asymptomatic and currently self-isolating at home, the father-son duo is still in Nanavati Hospital, stable but with mild symptoms.
Both Abhishek-Amitabh’s shoots have now been delayed till further notice. According to the latest reports, Amitabh Bachchan had been dubbing for an ad film in his Juhu Office.
Having shot for the Kaun Banega Crorepati 12 promo amid lockdown, Big B had no shoot lined up until September when the game show is expected to roll.
On the other hand, Abhishek Bachchan had a five-day schedule of The Big Bull in the pipeline.
Producer Anand Pandit said that shooting will be pushed towards a later date since their health was important. He affirmed that the October release of the financial crime drama will meet its deadline despite the delay, stating that they may expedite the post-production work to do so.
“We had maintained that we will begin shooting by July-end or early August. We can easily push the shoot to a later date now. After all, their health comes first. The October release of The Big Bull stands unchanged. We may have to expedite the post-production work to meet the release date.”
Abhishek was also supposed to resume work on Sujoy Ghosh’s Bob Biswas in Kolkata, in August. A source close to the project revealed that the work will commence again post-monsoon only taking into account Abhishek’s health and the lockdown scenario in Kolkata.
“Even though shoots have begun, stricter lockdown rules have been imposed in the city now. Several areas of south Kolkata are identified as containment zones. In light of the situation and Abhishek’s health, the producers have deferred the week-long shoot; they will probably head to work only post-monsoon.”
