Bollywood biggies, Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan, have contracted the coronavirus and disclosed it via social media last night.
According to a report by HT, apparently Senior Bachchan was in action shooting for promotional videos within the safe space of his home.
Shoots for the television game show Kaun Banega Crorepati, or as fans call it, KBC, had Amitabh Bachchan working in the month of May. Directed by Dangal director Nitesh Tiwari, many promos were shot at Bachchan’s home.
Bollywood sources reveal that Amitabh was apparently “dubbing for a promotional/ad film at the dubbing studio at his office” in Juhu.
Now, Bachchan is quarantined in the isolation unit of Nanavati Super Speciality Hospital and is reportedly stable with only mild symptoms. Talking to NDTV, the head of critical of Nanavati Hospital, Dr Abdul Samad Ansari, revealed that it is a huge responsibility to treat the biggest icon and his son.
“Huge responsibility on our shoulders to treat the biggest icon and his son. Their condition is stable. They have mild symptoms and their vitals are under control… usually by 10-12th day, peak disease impact on body is witnessed. Today would be 5th day since Amitabh ji’s symptoms had surfaced…have to watch closely for another seven days and see how the disease evolves…in the next 3 days, we will be able to see the evolution trajectory… very likely that he may remain to have a very mild version.”
