Fukrey (2013) and Fukrey Returns (2017) director Mrigdeep Singh Lamba has given fans a little something to be excited about with an Instagram meme post.
In this post, Pandit ji (Pankaj Tripathi), who is known for his bhavishyawani or predictions in the movies is seen talking about the prepping of the third part. With “Teesra part taiyyar ho raha hai” in the chat cloud, not only have we gotten the confirmation of the film’s making but fans can now officially do the happy dance to celebrate this news.
Fukrey’s production company, Excel Entertainment, has reposted Mrigdeep Lamba’s meme on their official Instagram page tagging the main cast Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Varun Sharma and Pulkit Samrat.
While taking to PTI, Mrigdeep shares his ideas for the movie which revolves around the current covid-19 pandemic. “This part too will have a strong message that people will take away and it will be delivered in a humorous way. The original story doesn’t mention it (about Covid-19). But we have been contemplating. We have discussed it. We need to be careful how we show it (Covid-19 situation), it shouldn’t seem forceful.”
When asked about how the team planned on working amidst the lockdown, Mrigdeep states, “We had started working on it before lockdown and now we connect via phone. We have got a story in place and the writing is almost 80 per cent complete. We are working on the screenplay, which is almost done. Once things start to normalise and we have rules in place, then we will decide how and when to take it ahead. We will understand the ground reality before going on floors. The production was earlier slated to begin by October-November but nothing is certain now.”
