Mukesh Chhabra directed Dil Bechara which was Sushant Singh Rajput’s last film before his death in which he starred alongside Sanjana Sanghi in the lead. The two became good friends over time and the director was devastated at the news of Sushant’s passing.
According to ANI, DCP Abhishek Trimukhe stated that, “Former casting director of Sushant Singh Rajput, Mukesh Chhabra’s statement was recorded in Bandra Police station. He said that his relations with Rajput were good. He did a film names ‘Drive’ recently where he did good work.”
DCP Trimukhe also said that Mukesh Chhabra hasn’t spoken on the latest news that Sushant had lost out on films. Chabbra also says he was not aware of any professional rivalry.
“Chhabra has not said anything about the reports that Rajput did not have any films on his hands. Police is interrogating Rajput’s team. “
In a report by India Today, the statement also mentioned that not only did Mukesh and Sushant share cordial relations with each other, but they would also sit down and discuss scripts together. Sushant was apparently not very phone friendly but he loved to play video games and was deeply interested in astronomy. Sushant loved gaming, reading and astronomy so much that he wouldn’t answer his phone while he was indulging in those activities.
