Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s niece Sasha Siddiqui had alleged that his younger brother Minazuddin Siddiqui sexually assaulted her. Sasha now reveals shocking details about all those inappropriate touches and molestation as well as the abuse she suffered when she resisted. And how no one in her family, including Nawaz, believed her. Even after seeing stuff with their own eyes.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Sasha speaks up about the horrifying incidents. The molestation and touches on thighs started when she was 9. When Sasha turned 14, she realized those touches were inappropriate.
“We had a family outing when I was in the room, playing games. He lied next to me and started touching me again. I realized that this is not how my other uncles behave with me.”
The molestation continued till she was 18, upto a few months before she got married.
Even after she was in Delhi and in a relationship with her husband, her uncle came over and wanted to have sex. When she resisted, he turned physically violent and started hitting her with his belt!
“I got bruises and marks on my entire body. I still have pictures as proof, which I had sent to my husband and asked him to come and take me home.”
Sasha ran away and married against her family’s wishes to save herself. She claims she would’ve committed suicide if her husband hadn’t saved her.
Minaz Siddiqui’s wife had also left him due to violence.
“He was bad to his wife, and he was bad to his niece!” Sasha says.
Even though her in-laws were supportive of her, they didn’t have the background to fight. Reportedly, Nawaz’s brother Shamas Siddiqui has been sending goons to threaten them into taking back her case against Minaz.
However, she says she has the evidence and is confident that the truth will come out.
