What Do We Think:
Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar has come like a breath of fresh air indeed… providing those much-needed, light-hearted breezy rom-com vibes.
Fun and humour? Check. Glamorous fashion? Check. Groovy songs? Check. Entertaining nok-jhok and family drama? Check. With a dash of real emotion and heartfelt sentiments? Check.
The first half is entertaining and breezes by smoothly with the meet-cute love story and family shenanigans, but the 2nd half is where TJMM packs the real punch as the two try to outsmart each other. Also, a Luv Ranjan film is incomplete without the appearance of his favourite Kartik Aaryan and Nushrat Bharucha! The Pyaar Ka Punchnama duo have a fun cameo in the movie indeed.
Ranbir and Shraddha both LOOK SO GOOD, they’re serving fashion goals! They have a cute chemistry – be it the banter or the teary, vulnerable moments in the climax. The couple has good comic timing as well. Fans of Comedian Anubhav Singh Bassi will be tickled to see their fav in full form too.
TJMM offers a fresh new look at modern relationships, and the importance of communication, boundaries and independence while being in love. Fear not, there is no hint of misogyny in this rom-com, in fact, the heart-warming family dynamics and cheeky banter make the offering even more sweet.
From the trailer, it may seem like superficial fluff, but there’s surprisingly quite a bit of genuine emotion packed in the latter end of the 2nd half. The climax scene is a HOOT!
TJMM is a perfect, charming, feel-good rom-com to chill with and keep your festive spirits high this Holi!
Hit Or Miss:
Has the makings of being an ENTERTAINING HIT. Go watch it in the theatres with family and friends.
