Previously, a petition had been making rounds to have Sushant Singh Rajput’s wax statue at Madame Tussauds in London.
However, the fans’ wishes have been fulfilled closer to home, as SSR’s statue was unveiled in West Bengal instead.
Sukanto Roy, a sculptor from Asansol has created a wax statue in memory of the late actor, which has been placed at his museum. It will be open for visitors as well.
Talking about Sushant Singh Rajput, Roy said, “I liked him a lot, it is sad that he passed away. I have made this statue for my museum. However, if his family requests for his statue I’ll make a new one.”
Roy has also created the wax statues of other famous personalities including actor Amitabh Bachchan and Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli at his museum.
