Popular stand-up comedian Raju Srivastava‘s health has taken a turn for the worse.
The 58-year-old was rushed to AIIMS, Delhi, after suffering a heart attack.
As per a report, Raju was working out on the treadmill last night when he experienced chest pain and collapsed.
The actor-comedian, who is currently hospitalised, reportedly has a heart-related medical background and is undergoing treatment for his heart illness.
Raju Srivastava’s brother, Ashish Srivastava reportedly confirmed the news and said –
“Kanpur-based comedian, Raju Srivastava, Chairman of Uttar Pradesh Film Board, had a heart attack while going to the gym. He was staying in Delhi to meet some of the big leaders of the state. He went to the gym in the morning and then went to another gym that day. During the same time, he got a heart attack. He has been admitted to AIIMS. But he is back under control. After 5 minutes, the doctors allowed the relatives to meet his grandfather. Only after meeting him, they will be able to give rest of the information.”
Raju Srivastava started his career with cameos in Bollywood films like Maine Pyar Kiya, Baazigar, Bombay to Goa amongst others. He rose to fame after participating in The Great Indian Laughter Challenge.
