The legendary actor Rajesh Khanna had passed away on 18 July 2012.
He was called the “First Superstar” of Bollywood and he was the highest-paid actor in the Hindi industry throughout the 1970s and 1980s!
As per a Peeping Moon report, a biopic on the late superstar is allegedly in the making. It will be based on Gautam Chintamani’s book – Dark Star: The Loneliness of Being Rajesh Khanna.
Producer Nikhil Dwivedi (Scam 1992 actor) has apparently bought the rights of the book for adaptation and Farah Khan has allegedly been approached to direct the biopic.
The news went viral ahead of Rajesh Khanna’s 79th birth anniversary on 29th December. Born as Jatin Khanna and later changed to Rajesh, he was also affectionately called as Kaka by the fans. Such was the obsession of his female fan following that he used to receive letters written in blood!
He was married to actress Dimple Kapadia and has two children – Twinkle Khanna and Rinke Khanna.
Some of his biggest blockbusters were Aradhana, Ittefaq, Sachaa Jhutha, Kati Patang, Aan Milo Sajna, Anand, Dushman, Amar Prem, Bawarchi, Daag and Namak Haraam.
