The ‘Luka Chuppi’ jodi is back… Kartik Aaryan & Kriti Sanon are all set to reunite for their upcoming movie ‘Shehzada’.
Directed by Rohit Dhawan, the action drama is the Hindi remake of the blockbuster Telugu movie ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’.
‘Shehzada’ also stars Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Ronit Bose Roy, and Sachin Khedkar in pivotal roles. The movie is scheduled to release in cinemas on November 4, 2022.
While the actor is supposedly getting paid a hefty paycheck for each movie, the latest buzz is that Kartik has allegedly charged a whopping amount of Rs 21 CRORES for ‘Shehzada’. Yes, you heard this right!
“Kartik is slowly taking the stride to be among the top stars of the industry and his remuneration is the right indication of his rising popularity. The young dynamite has charged a huge sum of Rs. 21 crores for this action-comedy, which is his highest for a single theatrical film till date,” a source informed the portal.
“Kartik is flexible to adjust his fees based on the genre and appeal of the film in the market. Shehzada is an outright commercial entertainer that can set the box office on fire and hence, he went ahead with premium charges. The producers were more than happy to accommodate his request given his popularity,” the source concluded.
Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Allu Aravind, S Radha Krishna, and Aman Gill, the original movie synopsis reads – “Bantu grows up being constantly subjected to his father’s scorn. However, when he learns of his real parentage, he decides to carve a place for himself within the family he truly belongs to.”
Apart from ‘Shehzada’, Kartik has an interesting line-up of movies like ‘Dhamaka’, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, ‘Freddy’, and ‘Captain India’.
