From extortion allegations against NCB to leaked Whatsapp chats… Aryan Khan drugs case is getting twisted by the day.
After being denied bail multiple times, Bombay High Court is currently hearing the plea of Shah Rukh Khan’s son.
As per India Today report, Aryan’s bail hearing has now been adjourned to Thursday, October 28 2021. He will continue to remain in Arthur Road Jail.
What Is Conscious Possession Of Drugs?
Aryan has so far not been granted bail as he is charged with “conscious possession” of the drugs found with Arbaaz Merchant. That means even though no drug recovery was made from Aryan himself, NCB is saying he apparently knew that his friend Arbaaz had hidden 6 gm charas for BOTH of them to CONSUME. And hence it amounted to conscious possession.
Meanwhile, Aryan’s team is refuting the conscious possession charge, saying – “Possession of somebody else cannot be my (Aryan) possession unless…there is control and knowledge.” No drug recovery, no consumption – is what his team repeated.
Aryan’s Whatsapp chats with Ananya and his friends allegedly discussing drugs also went viral recently (Click here to read more). His lawyers argued that the Whatsapp chats that are being circulated are old (from 2018, 2019 and 2020) and they’re not related to the cruise party case at hand.
Extortion Allegations Against NCB
NCB Zonal director Sameer Wankhede was allegedly accused of being involved in 25 crore extortion racket. Kiran Gosavi’s bodyguard Prabhakar Sail (a witness in the NCB) had claimed that Gosavi had planned to extort ₹ 25 crores from SRK’s manager Pooja Dadlani and then settled on 18 crores.
It was alleged that 8 crore was to be paid to Sameer Wankhede. Wankhede has DENIED these pay-off accusations though.
