It’s no surprise that Sushant Singh Rajput has emerged as Yahoo’s most searched celebrity of 2020 beating Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
As per a HT article, Rhea Chakraborty, who was Sushant’s girlfriend and the centre of the controversy, came in third.
The politician dominated list also saw a few actors’ names in between and their rankings are as follows:
Amitabh Bachchan (9th)
Kangana Ranaut (10th)
Deepika Padukone (12th)
Sunny Leone (14th)
Priyanka Chopra (15th)
Katrina Kaif (16th)
Sushant Singh Rajput was also 2020’s ‘most searched male celebrity’ and he was followed by Amitabh, Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, Irrfan Khan, Rishi Kapoor, SP Balasubrahmanyam, Sonu Sood, Anurag Kashyap and Allu Arjun.
Like her late boyfriend, Rhea topped the 2020 list of ‘most searched female celebrity’ and was followed by Kangana, Deepika, Sunny, Priyanka, Katrina, singers Neha Kakkar and Kanika Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sara Ali Khan.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), were investigating SSR’s death from several angles. Rhea was arrested on drug-related charges connected with the case and was released on bail a month later.
