Sanjiv Jaiswal‘s ‘Shudra: The Rising‘ has announced its sequel, titled as ‘Bagaawat‘.
‘Bagaawat‘ is based on the teachings of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and will focus on women’s equality and his dream -‘one nation one code’.
A close source revealed to ETimes that the makers have completed most of the film before the lockdown. “However, a few scenes from the film are remaining which are scheduled for this month end. And if the post production work is done on time, then the makers will release a small teaser on December 6 on the death anniversary of Dr. Ambedkar.”
“The film will have known actors from Hindi, Marathi, Bengali and South film industries. Accordingly, Rajneesh Duggal, Shishir Sharma, Aham Sharma, Vikram Gokhale , Suparna Malakar, Aditya Om and others will feature in the sequel,” the source further added.
Rajneesh says, “Yes, It is a beautiful movie and I feel privileged to be part of the project.”
The storyline of the sequel revolves around Shudras and their rebellion against the upper castes to seek justice and equality.
The film is scheduled to release in 2021 around the birth anniversary of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.
