Karan Johar‘s ‘first leading ladies’- Kajol & Rani Mukerji – graced the coffee couch in the latest episode of Koffee With Karan S8 and it was hilarious.
The sixth episode of Koffee With Karan S8 saw two talented, beautiful and timeless Bollywood actresses, Kajol and Rani Mukerji on the coffee couch. The duo stole the show with their hilarious banter, candid chat, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai memories, interesting revelations about their personal and professional lives and more.

1) Recalling Memories From KKHH Days
Karan Johar, Rani and Kajol together… Of course, the conversation had to start with recalling their Kuch Kuch Hota Hai memories. Recalling the days, Rani jokingly said how KJo would snatch away her food so that she could fit into her costumes.
Karan also shared the incident from ‘Koi Mil Gaya’ song shoot when the ‘newcomer’ Rani turned the choreographer for SRK and Kajol. He stated –
“Those were the days that none of us rehearsed right for the song and dance moves? There was no such thing as rehearsal hall, there was one and I think Rani was the only one, she was new and young, she went and rehearsed all the steps. Now we are taking this top wide shot with Farah Khan in command, in control and it was the signature step of Koi Mil Gaya. Suddenly, cut happened and Kajol looked at Rani that time and said “What are you doing?, something wrong you are doing” Shah Rukh Khan also said, “Kuch galat ho raha hai”.
“Loudly, barring from afar, Farah said, “She is the only one who is doing it right, you all are doing rubbish”. Then, immediately both SRK and Kajol went to Rani who had become the choreographer teaching them the step. It was hilarious,” he added.

2) Distance Between Kajol & Rani Mukerji Back In The Day
Karan Johar also addressed the distant relationship between Rani Mukerji and Kajol back in the late ’90s and early ’20s despite being cousins. When KJo asked the reason, Rani replied, “Yeah it was a bit strange. But I guess when you grow up and grow apart, you don’t really know the reason why.”
To which, Kajol said, “It was an organic distance and where work is concerned, I think it’s more that both of us liked where we were.”
Rani further added, “I have known her as a kid and she is always Kajol didi for me. And it was a bit strange and I guess when you grow up and grow apart, you don’t really know the reason why. Because we didn’t meet that often because Kajol didi used to stay in town and we were in Juhu, so me and Tanisha were much closer, we are still but Kajol didi was always closer to the boys of the family, like my brother and all of them.”
3) Kajol Rejected 3 Idiots, Dil Toh Pagal Hai
During the rapid fire round, Kajol was asked about the films that she had rejected but emerged as blockbuster films. She answered there were quite a few films like Rajkumar Hirani’s 3 Idiots, Shah Rukh Khan‘s Dil Toh Pagal Hai and Akshay Kumar’s Mohra.
