2) PK (2014)
Did you know the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput didn’t charge anything for his role in PK? Yes, SSR worked for free for his small yet prominent role in the Aamir Khan-Anushka Sharma starrer.
It is said that director Rajkumar Hirani had handed him Rs 21 as a good luck sign and also sent him several books on cinematography as a return gift to the late actor from his own collection.
3) M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016)
The MS Dhoni biopic proved to be a game-changer for Sushant Singh Rajput. It ended up being the fifth highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2016 with a ₹216 crore box office collection.

4) Raabta (2017)
Rumours of SSR-Kriti Sanon dating were rife during the romantic action thriller Raabta. The film was also criticized for allegedly copying S.S. Rajamouli’s film, Magadheera.
Apparently, Alia Bhatt was signed opposite SSR for Raabta but she walked out in favour of doing KJO’s Shuddhi movie (which later got shelved).
5) Sonchiriya (2019)
SSR’s Sonchiriya movie received critical acclaim but sadly it tanked at the box office with a 10.42 crore collection.
To be completely immersed in the headspace for his role of an outlaw in Sonchiriya, Sushant stayed unwashed, unfed, unattended for days and weeks as part of his character preparation!
6) Dil Bechara (2020)
SSR’s Dil Bechara, which was the Hindi remake of The Fault in Our Stars, was released posthumously on Disney + Hotstar.
Fun fact – director Director Mukesh Chhabra revealed that Dil Bechara’s Title Track was SSR’s swansong. Farah Khan charged nothing for choreographing it and Sushant nailed the dance song in ONE TAKE. Impressive, indeed.
