Shortly after, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 star Kartik Aaryan was rumored to be in talks for the Cocktail sequel. Known for his charismatic screen presence and recent successes, Kartik seemed like a logical pick for the franchise.

However, as much as these rumors excited some, the broader reaction from netizens was lukewarm. Many viewers expressed fatigue with the ongoing trend of remakes and sequels, questioning the need for a follow-up to a film released over a decade ago.
Recent reports from Zoom suggest that these speculations are far from reality. A source close to the production has firmly debunked the claims.
“There is no Cocktail sequel with Shahid or Kartik. In fact, there is no Cocktail sequel at all. Producer Dinesh Vijan has no interest in revisiting a 12-year-old hit that feels dated today. It’s unclear how this rumor even started because Cocktail 2 is not a project under consideration,” the source revealed.
Kartik Aaryan In Talks For Luka Chuppi 2?
Interestingly, it appears Kartik Aaryan is reportedly in talks with Dinesh Vijan for a different sequel: Luka Chuppi 2.
A source said, “We will get a clear idea in the next month, but both Dinesh Vijan and Kartik Aaryan are very keen to partner and take forward a franchise, as Bhool Bhulaiyaa has proved how strong a combo – franchise + Kartik is in the modern world.”
For now, fans can rest assured: Cocktail 2 is not happening!
