Vicky Kaushal stars as Chiranjeevi Parashurama in Mahavatar, directed by Amar Kaushik (of Stree and Bhediya fame). Dinesh Vijan brings to life the story of the eternal warrior of dharma! The film is scheduled to release in cinemas during Christmas 2026.
Touted to be a large-scale epic, Mahavatar aims to blend mythology with contemporary storytelling, promising to captivate global audiences. Based on Parashurama, one of the 10 avatars (incarnations) of Vishnu, who was famous for his skills in warfare, particularly his proficiency with the axe or parshu.

After Chhaava, this marks Vicky Kaushal’s second collaboration with Maddock Films. Apparently, the release date of Chhaava has likely been pushed to January 2025 to avoid clash with Pushpa 2.
Vicky also has the Sanjay Leela Bhansali film – Love And War with Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor.
