Munjya Movie Review:
Munjya ends up being rather predictable but fun nevertheless. The 1st half is a laughter ride, but the jumpscares are quite cliched.
The comedy is hit-and-miss in Munjya, unlike Stree and Bhediya, which were uproariously funny… the one-liners don’t pack quite that much of a comedic punch here. Munjya does have a few sequences that will leave you pleasantly chuckling though.
The VFX monster Munjya feels a little shoddy, eliciting giggles instead of any real terror and the desi Gollum comparison is inevitable. The 2nd half loses steam but redeems itself in the climax.

Munjya Movie Review:
The cast is promising, with the pairing of fresh faces like Abhay Verma and Sharvari. They have good chemistry, though the romance is underwritten. Abhay Verma as the terrified Bittu makes for an endearing protagonist. His comic timing is on-point! Sharvari is the surprise package in the film and gets a meaty sequence in the 2nd half, compensating for her role in the 1st half.
Mona Singh is a hoot as the hot-headed Punjabi mommy, Taranjot Singh as Bittu’s friend Spielberg adds some much-needed hilarity. Sathyaraj appears in a limited but dynamic role and brings the house down in the 2nd half. The climax sequence is thrilling.
Overall, Munjya offers a fun albeit predictable ride, though the comedy could have been much improved upon.
P.S: Don’t miss the post-credit scene with Abhishek Banerjee and Varun Dhawan!
