The story is the winner here, complemented by a top-notch, authentic performance by Rajkummar Rao.

The 1st half feels like a generic biopic – taking us through Srikanth Bolla’s childhood and college life, as he breezes through life’s complications. The narrative seems almost too easy and conflict-free initially.

However, while the plot seems quite straightforward in the 1st half, the 2nd half takes an interesting turn when it delves deeper into Srikanth’s psyche. It shows how the very passion that drives him ends up being his fatal flaw. It makes the CEO’s story more honest, relatable and grounded, instead of projecting him like some sort of a superhero.

Srikanth Movie Review:

Rajkummar Rao has sunk flawlessly into the role and has Srikanth’s mannerisms down to a T. It is a layered role indeed, and Rajkummar does justice to it, bringing Srikanth’s unapologetic stubbornness, passion and ferocity to life on the big screen. Jyotika is remarkable as the compassionate teacher that stands by Srikanth like a rock. Their endearing student-teacher bond is one of the highlights of the movie.

Alaya F has limited screentime but is effective in her role as the love interest. Sharad Kelkar plays Srikanth’s business partner and he’s charismatic and sincerely convincing in his performance. His equation with Srikanth forms one of the most compelling moments of the film.
