“We’re getting married at home, a conscious decision we’re proud of,” Divya shared with E-Times. “The usual five-star hotel wedding wasn’t us. We craved a unique experience, something different.” This desire for an intimate and personalized celebration echoes in their unconventional choice of venue – their own home in Chembur.
The festivities kick off on February 18th with a vibrant sangeet ceremony, followed by a beautiful mehendi on the 19th. Finally, on the 20th, under the warm glow of the setting sun, Divya and Apurva will exchange vows in a heartwarming phera ceremony.
Amidst the wedding planning whirlwind, Divya acknowledges the bittersweet emotions, “I’m happy, but with a tinge of sadness because I miss my father.” Despite the pang of loss, her excitement shines through.
As per reports, the couple has opted for a bold color palette of red and purple, ditching the typical wedding pastels. “We haven’t even seen the outfits yet,” Divya reveals, “but the red and purple theme paired with the sunset pheras promises something truly special.”
