Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya Movie Review:

Kriti Sanon

Firstly, the name is one hell of a mouthful! But TBMAUJ ends up being a superbly entertaining robot rom-com, balancing the technical aspects with drama, humour and romance.

The VFX is quite impressive and nothing feels out of place. Shahid-Kriti’s meet-cute is funny without becoming cringe. The two have solid, convincing chemistry and their pairing works big time.

The comedy will keep you in high spirits and leave you chuckling for the most part. Some comedic punches don’t land but even so, the humour is engaging throughout the film. Some sequences, particularly before the interval feel a little dragged, but afterwards… it’s a rollercoaster ride as Sifra is introduced to the family.

Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya Movie Review:=

Chaotic family shenanigans and hilarious accidents caused by a malfunctioning robot, make the 2nd half a hoot. The climax sequence in particular is really good with an excellent performance by Kriti who manages to make her robot both scary yet amusing. Despite the intriguing, drama-filled finale – the ending feels a little abrupt. However, it appears that there might be a potential for a sequel. Janhvi Kapoor makes a surprise, cheeky appearance in the concluding scenes.

Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya Movie Review:

It’s refreshing to see Shahid take a break from his intense roles and assume this comic avatar. His comedic timing is spot-on and his banter with the robot is quirky. Kriti Sanon is perfect in her role as Sifra – and her acting in the climax is a stand-out. Dimple Kapadia appears in a limited but engaging role. On the other hand, Dharmendra is underutilised in the film – keeping a low profile.

Fun, peppy songs and catchy dance moves complete the package of this glossy, glam entertainer. Overall, TBMAUJ is a family-friendly, entertaining ride and deserves to be seen on the big screen.

Hit Or Miss:

Bound to be a hit – an entertaining comedy from start to finish.
