During their appearance on Koffee With Karan S8, Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone shared the dreamy proposal story which took place in the Maldives. He revealed that within just six months into their relationship, he already knew that she was ‘the one’. He had bought a diamond ring and secretly carried it with him while the Ram Leela couple was jetting off to the Maldives for a vacation. Ranveer revealed that he had proposed to Deepika for marriage in the middle of the sea and there was just a tiny sliver of sand in the middle and all around was just sea. How romantic is this!

“He picked me up from my pilates class, which was a huge disaster as well, and I was really pissed off. I remember we were walking to the hotel. He had his bike…he likes to cycle…and I was walking with him. He just got down on his knee in the middle of the New York street and said, ‘Will you marry me?’ I was like, ‘I was such a b***h all day’.”

“It was a very unexpected proposal. I had no idea it was going to happen. We had not even discussed it. But this is again Farhan, when he decides something, he does it. I was never the kind who wanted to get married and have all that jazz. But when Farhan asked, it just felt right in the moment and after the initial shock, I said a yes.”
