A report claiming that the Bawaal actress had replaced Sai Pallavi in the Sita role had gone viral. But it is not so.

Bollywood Hungama article provided the latest update on the rumours – Janhvi was never approached for Ramayana.
An insider source revealed – “Nope, that’s absolutely false. People with vested interest are trying to create confusion around the casting in the media and industry. Janhvi Kapoor was never approached for the part of Sita in Ramayana. It was always the choice between Alia Bhatt and Sai Pallavi.”

Ramayana Cast:
The source confirmed that Ranbir Kapoor will be playing Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi assuming the role of Sita, Sunny Deol will be seen as Hauman and Yash as the antagonist Raavan.
Ramayana is currently at the pre-production stage and the shooting for the project will commence in March 2024. The team is aiming for a Diwali 2025 release.
Janhvi’s Upcoming Projects:
Janhvi has the pan-Indian film Devara with Jr NTR and Saif Ali Khan. She will also be seen in Mr and Mrs Mahi with Rajkummar Rao. She also has Ulajh with Gulshan Devaiah and Roshan Mathew.
