Alia Bhatt Ramayana-themed saree is currently the talk-of-the-town.
The actress impressed us all with her saree-torial choice yesterday as she attended the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya.
Yesterday (22nd January 2024) marked a historic occasion with the inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Several Bollywood celebs – Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Katrina Kaif, Ayushmann Khurrana, Rohit Shetty, Madhuri Dixit among others – attended the historic event.
While everyone was dressed in stunning traditional outfits, it was Alia Bhatt’s ensemble that caught our attention.
Alia Bhatt Ramayana-Themed Saree Took 100 Hours To Complete:
Alia draped herself in a turquoise blue Mysore silk saree for the Ayodhya Ram Mandir inauguration ceremony.
The saree – designed by the designer label Madhurya – had important scenes from the Ramayan intricately handpainted on the pallu.
Renowned celebrity stylist Ami Patel took to Instagram and shared details of the special saree. She revealed that the pallu design was made in 10 days and the saree took 100 hours to complete .
Earlier today (January 23), Ami took to Instagram and shared some gorgeous pics of Alia along with details about the saree. She wrote, “Simple yet Historic! 🪔💥 Alia Bhatt’s custom turquoise blue Mysore silk saree from @madhurya_creations had important scenes from the Ramayan intricately handpainted on the Pallu.”
“The breaking of the Shiva Dhanush, King Dasharathas promise, in the boat with Guha, the golden deer, the kidnapping, the Ram Setu, Lord Hanuman presenting the ring to Ma Sita and the Rama Pattabishek. These miniature paintings were done in a traditional “Pattachitra” style and took a 100 hours to complete on time for this momentous occasion of the inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya,” she added.
According to India Today, Alia’s Ramayana-inspired saree cost Rs 45,000 apparently!
