“The makers intend to introduce a new technology of filmmaking with Ramayana, and the entire test run of the shoot has been conducted multiple times. Right from 3D scans to look tests – all the aspects of pre-production have been concluded with the three leads – Ranbir, Sai, and Yash,” a source told the portal.
KGF star Yash will be joining the shoot in July 2024 reportedly. Part 1 will focus more on the story of Ram and Sita and introduce Hanuman. So, Yash has an extended appearance in this film. The 2nd part will revolve around Raavan’s plot.
The 1st part of this Ramayana trilogy is aiming for release in the latter half of 2025.
Ranbir is going to abstain from meat and alcohol till they’re shooting the film, to feel as pure and clean as Lord Rama.
“While Sai Pallavi who will play Sita has a very clean, controversy-free image, Ranbir Kapoor is a bit more, shall we say, colorful in his conduct. Not quite the wild child, but he is certainly no Sri Rama in his personal life,” a source said.
They further continued – “While the film will be shot, Ranbir will abstain completely from drinking and eating meat. These are not things he would avoid just for his public image, but also as a dedicated actor Ranbir wants to feel as pure and clean as Sri Rama. In any case, Ranbir is not into late nights and wild parties.”
Previously, Alia Bhatt was reportedly in talks to play Sita’s role in the film. However, the Gangubai Kathiawadi actress walked out of the project citing date issues.
