The Deol brothers – Sunny Deol & Bobby Deol – graced the coffee couch in the latest episode of Koffee With Karan S8 after a gap of 18 years.
The second episode of KJo’s KWK S8 premiered at 12 AM on Thursday, 2nd November, on Disney+ Hotstar.
From nepotism to Gadar 2‘s smashing box office office collection to Dharmendra’s message… The Deol siblings bared it all. They were unapologetic, unassuming and, of course, candid.

1) Gadar 2 Success And The Clash With OMG 2
During the chat, Karan Johar talked about the grand success of Gadar 2 and its tagline, “Hindustan ka asli blockbuster.” To which, Sunny explained that it’s the current trend where the companies aim to support their products and generate buzz.
The actor was often heard saying, “Ours are organic collections.” When KJo asked asked if that’s the reason behind their tagline, Sunny laughed and said, , “I think so. That’s why it was.”
Karan also brought up the much-talked about clash between Gadar 2 and OMG 2 and if he had spoken about it with Akshay Kumar. He revealed that he’d requested Akshay to avoid the clash if he had the power to prevent it.
“I mean, obviously, I asked him, ‘please don’t do it if it’s in your hands,’ but he said no, the studio, and all that… and they said that anyways two films can release, so I said, okay, go ahead. I can just request; I can’t do anything more than that.”

2 The Nepotism Talk
Since both the guests – Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol – are both starkids, it would be incomplete not to talk about nepotism on KWK. The Darr actor explained that it’s a common practice for parents to pave the way for their children as a natural aspect of support.
“We didn’t choose to be born to them. We were blessed to be born to them. We didn’t ask, we got it.”

He also asked people to take his career as an example and said that being a starkid doesn’t guarantee success.
3) Dharmedra, Karan, Rajveer & Aryaman’s Heartwarming Messages
The Deol family’s heartwarming messages made both Sunny and Bobby emotional. Dharmendra, Karan Deol and Rajveer Deol (Sunny Deol‘s sons) and Aryaman Deol (Bobby Deol’s son) appeared on screen and talked about the Deol brothers.
While Karan and Rajveer described their father as “emotional, loving, headstrong, extremely caring, tough, never give up kind of attitude,” Aryaman described his father in three words, “loving, encouraging, and understanding.”
Dharmendra Ji’s speech was emotional. He said –
“Har bacha kaise bhi ho, baap ke saamne bheegi billi bann jata hai aur baap se dur hote hi sher ban jata hai. Sunny ke andar ek bachha hai jo samajhdaar hogaya hai aur usse samajhdaar hona chahiye.”
“Bobby sabse ladla hai, hamesha chota bachha jo hai usko zyada hi pyaar karte hain. Par Bobby kehte hain ki aap Sunny se zyada pyaar karte hain mujhse nahi. (Children often act bold and brash when their fathers are not around, but become meek and mild in their presence. Though Sunny exhibited such behavior as a child, he has matured into an intelligent young man. Bobby is the younger one and we tend to love the younger one more. But he says that I love Sunny more.),”
He concluded saying, “I am proud of you, my sons.”
