Baiju Bawra – has Nayanthara joined the cast of this Sanjay Leela Bhansali film?
Recently reports went viral that Jawan actress and South Superstar Nayanthara has been roped in the Ranveer Singh-Alia Bhatt starrer.
Is Nayanthara In Baiju Bawra?
However, a Times Now report has debunked this news as just a rumour. There is going to be no Nayanthara or Kiara Advani joining this project allegedly.
A source very close to Bhansali said – “Right now, his entire focus is on the post-production of Heeramandi. He is not even thinking about Baiju Bawra. And why should he? So many spin doctors are doing the thinking on his behalf.”

Previously, rumours had gone wild that Kiara Advani had been approached to play the 2nd female lead in Baiju Bawra. But looks like that piece of news isn’t true.
Apart from Baiju Bawra, Ranveer Singh will be seen in Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3 and in an extended cameo in Singham Again. Alia Bhatt on the other hand has Jigra which she’s co-producing, Jee Le Zaraa, and the Brahmastra sequels.
Heeramandi
Sanjay Leela Bhansali is currently busy with the Netflix series Heeramandi. The cast includes Sonakshi Sinha, Manisha Koirala, Richa Chaddha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmin Segal and Sanjeeda Sheikh. Shekhar Suman and son Adhyayan Suman are both starring in this SLB project too.
Penned by Moin Beg, it has been adapted into an eight-episode series by writers Vibhu Puri, Mitakshara Kumar and Snehil Dixit Mehra.
The political drama will see Sanjay Leela Bhansali bring his majestic signature flair to stories of love and betrayal in the lives of courtesans in pre-independence India.
SLB’s last directorial Gangubai Kathiawadi shone big – it won Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Editing at National Awards 2023. And Alia Bhatt who played the titular role bagged the Best Actress honour at the 69th National Film Awards.
