The Great Indian Family, written-directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, is a family entertainer that also stars Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra, Bhuvan Arora among others in important roles.

Vicky Kaushal:
Vicky Kaushal plays the role of a renowned Bhajan singer named Ved Vyas Tripathi aka Bhajan Kumar who belongs to a Pandit family. One days, they suddenly find out that he is actually a Muslim by birth.
As per reports, Vicky has been paid to the tune of Rs 4 crores for this movie. Talking about his role, he had said in a statement –
“I play a singing star named Bhajan Kumar in our quirky family entertainer The Great Indian Family and we decided to have some fun before we actually revealed the fact that I was playing this character in the film! As an actor, I love to bring smiles to the faces of people and I hope I was able to achieve it. So, now the cat’s out of the bag! I hope people love my new avatar in TGIF. I’m eager to see how Bhajan Kumar is received by audiences. I know I have poured my heart into bringing him to life on the big screen.”
Manushi Chhillar:
Manushi has been paired opposite Vicky in this family entertainer. Her role and characters deets have been kept under wraps. Reportedly, the former Miss World took home a paycheque of Rs 80 lakhs!
Manoj Pahwa will be seen as Vicky’s on-screen ‘chacha’ in TGIF. Reportedly, the actor’s fee is around Rs 70 lakhs, while Kumud Mishra has charged somewhere between Rs 40 – 60 lakhs!
