Ekta Kapoor becomes the 1st Indian Producer to win an Emmy Award!
The Balaji Telefilms co-founder bagged an International Emmy Directorate Award. She will be honoured with the award on November 20, at the 51st International Emmy Awards.
Ekta Kapoor Gets An Emmy Award:
President and CEO of International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences said – “Ektaa R. Kapoor has built Balaji into one of India’s foremost entertainment players with market leadership in the television content industry reaching mass audiences across India and South Asia with their long running series and OTT platform,” said Paisner. “We look forward to honoring her remarkable career and influence on the television industry, with our Directorate Award.”

Dream Girl 2
Ekta’s recent release Dream Girl 2 starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday in the lead roles, is doing decent business at the box office, inspite of tough competition with Gadar 2 and OMG 2.
Dream Girl 2 had a 10.69 crore opening and made 40 crores in its opening weekend. The film has crossed 46 crores currently. She is next also reuniting with filmmaker Dibakar Banerjee for ‘LSD 2’.
