Pan-Indian star Prabhas’ latest theatrical offering – Adipurush, which is based on Ramayana, received severe backlash from the public. It has still crossed 395 crores at the global box office though.
After Ramayana, it seems that Prabhas’ upcoming sci-fi film ‘Project K’ is also loosely based on a religious epic – Mahabharat. And the cast will play modernized versions of famous Mahabharat characters.
As per reports, Project K might showcase the 10th avatar of Vishnu in the current Kalyug. It is said to be set against the backdrop of World War 3.
While Amitabh Bachchan’s character is reportedly inspired by Ashwatthama, Prabhas‘ part might be based on modernized version of Karna. The Project K cast also includes Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani.
Project K Release Date:
Directed by Nag Ashwin, to release on 12 January 2024. The project is said to have a 400-crore budget.
Apart from Project K, Prabhas’ next movies are Salaar and Spirit.
