According to a report, Nushrratt Bharuccha was the original choice to play the female lead in Imran Khan‘s debut movie. The role later went to Genelia D’Souza.
Talking about it, the actress told the portal –
“Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na was the first film that I auditioned for. Imran was being launched with that film and I have actually shot scenes. I had reached that final level. They were like, acchha she’s okay and we’re going to cast her. Half the production team was very sure of me but there was just one person who saw it differently. It happened to be the director, Abbas Tyrewala. So things didn’t fall into place. But I still remember being happy about the fact that people were liking my work enough to consider me for the lead roles.”
Genelia garnered a lot of praise for her portrayal in the movie. Do you think Nushrratt could have been a better Aditi than Genelia?
