Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Bhumi Pednekar are haunted by an ‘afwaah’ (rumour) in the upcoming social drama, Afwaah.

Written and directed by Sudhir Mishra, Afwaah also stars Sumeet Vyas, Sharib Hashmi, Sumit Kaul, TJ Bhanu, Rockey Raina and Eisha Chopra in pivotal roles.
The trailer shows Vicky (played by Sumeet) is a politician whose plans go down south when his fiancee Nivi (played by Bhumi) runs away. She then meets Rahab (played by Nawazuddin) and rumours of them eloping together spread like a wildfire. One afwaah turns the lives of 3 people upside down.
Afwaah – produced by Anubhav Sinha – was previously scheduled to hit theatres on 24 February 2023.

Afwaah Synopsis:
“Sometimes, the monster chasing you is a rumour. Rahab – a top advertising professional and Nivi – a political heiress, find no place to hide as they get entangled in a vicious rumour created by the social media machinery. Witness how an ‘Afwaah’ changes the course of their lives and turns it upside down.”
