Priyanka Chopra Jonas wears her heart on her sleeve. The actress never shies away from speaking her mind.
The global star recently opened up on why she left Bollywood and decided to move to the US for work.
PeeCee was already one of the biggest Bollywood stars when she decided to move out of Bollywood and decided to give her music career in Hollywood a shot. The actress made her debut as a singer in the Hollywood music industry with her 2012 single In My City.
Speaking to Dax Shepard on his podcast, Armchair Expert, Priyanka said that she was being “pushed into a corner” in Bollywood. The Citadel actress also went to reveal that she had a “beef with people” and was tired of politics in the Hindi film industry.
“I was being pushed into a corner in the industry (Bollywood). I had people not casting me, I had beef with people, I am not good at playing that game so I kind of was tired of the politics and I said I needed a break.”
– Priyanka said.
“This music thing gave me an opportunity to go into another part of the world, not crave for the movies I didn’t want to get but I would require to schmooze certain clubs and cliques of people. It would require groveling and I had worked a long time by then that I didn’t feel like I wanted to do it.So when this music thing came I was like ‘fu** it I am going to America.”

Priyanka Chopra Jonas has carved her own niche as an actress in Hollywood. She started off with ABC’s Quantico and also starred in Baywatch, Matrix: Revolutions, The White Tiger.
PeeCee will be next seen in the Citadel series. She also has a film, Love Again, lined up for release and the Bollywood movie Jee Le Zaraa in her kitty.
