1. Alia Bhatt
On Tuesday afternoon, Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram stories and called out a media publication after they zoomed in their lenses and shared pictures from her personal space.
The actress shared that she was chilling in her balcony when she noticed someone was watching her. The actress then noticed two men from the neighbouring building, zooming in their lenses and clicking her pictures. She also reached out to police officials for help.
Tagging the Mumbai Police, she reposted the ‘exclusive’ pictures on her stories and wrote –
“Are you kidding me? I was at my house having a perfectly normal afternoon sitting in my living room when I felt something watching me…. I looked up and saw two men on the terrace of my neighbouring building with a camera right at me! In what world is this okay and allowed? This is a gross invasion of someone’s privacy and it’s safe to say all lines were crossed today! @mumbaipolice.”
2. Anushka Sharma
Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli have time and again asked the paps to respect their personal space and to not post any pictures of their daughter, Vamika, on social media. They have lashed out at a media portal a couple of time for invading their privacy.
The actress lost her cool when a news portal posted a picture of her daughter. Tagging the portal, she took to the comment section of their post and wrote, “Seems like they know what’s better for kids than their parents themselves as they can’t stop clicking and posting photos despite being requested repeatedly.”
Previously, Anushka had called out the same media house for invading her personal space. Virat-Anushka were in their private space and spending time together in their balcony.
Last year, during the T20 World Cup in Australia, Virat Kohli took to Instagram and revealed that his privacy was invaded at a hotel room in Australia. Sharing a 30-second video clip of an unidentified person taking a tour of his hotel room, the cricketer captioned –
“I understand that fans get very happy and excited seeing their favourite players and get excited to meet them and I’ve always appreciated that. But this video here is appalling and it’s made me feel very paranoid about my privacy. If I cannot have privacy in my own hotel room, then where can I really expect any personal space at all?? I’m NOT okay with this kind of fanaticism and absolute invasion of privacy. Please respect people’s privacy and not treat them as a commodity for entertainment.”
Describing the incident as an “absolute disgrace”, Anushka had taken to Instagram story and wrote, “Have experienced a few incidents where some fans have shown no compassion or grace in the past but this really is the worst thing. An absolute disgrace and violation of a human being and anyone who sees this and thinks celebrity ho toh deal Karna padega (If you are a celebrity then you will have to deal with this) should know that you are also part of the problem.”

3. Janhvi Kapoor
Soon after Alia’s privacy invasion post, Janhvi Kapoor also shared a similar experience. The Mili actress slammed the media portal and revealed that she too was ‘photographed unaware’ inside her gym.
Sharing Alia‘s Story on her own Instagram, Janhvi wrote –
“This is disgustingly intrusive. This publication has repeatedly done things like this. Including, despite my continuous requests, photographed me unaware, inside the gym, I go to while working out through the glass door. In a space that is supposed to be private, where one does not anticipate to get photographed.”
4. Katrina Kaif
Back in 2013, pictures of Katrina Kaif and her then-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor vacationing in Ibiza had splashed all over. In those pictures, which were ‘shot without permission’ and were widely shared in media at the time, Katrina was seen wearing a red and white swimsuit, while Ranbir wore blue shorts.
The Tiger 3 actress was upset with the leaked pictures of her private holiday and had written an open letter addressed to media.
“I am writing this to say that I feel most upset, distressed and invaded at my pictures published in a film magazine (and which were carried by other media). The pictures were taken while I was on holiday by someone who, in an act of cowardice, has shot without permission and then used the pictures for commercial gain. There is a breed of journalism that preys on celebrities in the worst possible manner crossing all lines of privacy and decency. Running these pictures shows support for this school of journalism. I request that all media running these pictures please refrain from doing so. I have a wonderful relationship with the media and have been accessible to the media at all times. There is no reason for this furtive and invasive behaviour.”
