TV actress Vaishali Takkar died by suicide on October 16 at her residence in Indore.
In the suicide note, the 29-year-old had allegedly accused her ex-boyfriend Rahul Navlani for harassing her.
Reportedly, a case of abetment to suicide was registered against Rahul, who was also her neighbour, and his wife Disha Navlani.
Vaishali Takkar Ex-Boyfriend Rahul Navlani Arrested:
According to India TV, late actress Vaishali’s former boyfriend Rahul was arrested last night (October 19) by the police in Indore. He went missing after the police recovered a suicide note in which Vaishali had allegedly named him and his family as the reason behind ending her life.
While Rahul has been arrested, his wife Disha is still said to be on the run.
Confirming the arrest, Indore Police Commissioner Harinarayan Chari Mishra told NDTV –
“The accused was a neighbour so he knew about the goings on and managed to escape…Teams were sent to different states, we even announced a reward. Lookout circular was issued. He is being questioned.”
“The electronic gadgets held by the accused have been seized and further investigation is underway,” Mr. Mishra added.
As per reports, Rahul, due to his closeness to Vaishali, was harassing the late actress since he got to know about her marriage plans. He also ended up breaking the engagement by sending his personal photo of him with with Vaishali to her fiancee Mitesh Gor.
