Now, we hear that the movie has been shelved indefinitely shelved.
If this report is to be believed, Aamir Khan-starrer Mogul has been put on backburner after the box office debacle of Laal Singh Chaddha.
“The makers of Mogul are reconsidering their decision and might shelve it completely. This has come days after Aamir’s highly-anticipated film Laal Singh Chaddha released. Unfortunately, despite being a near-perfect adaptation of Forrest Gump, it failed to click at the box office. The poor box office response reportedly forced the makers of Mogul to shelve it indefinitely.”
– a source informed the portal.
Reportedly, Aamir had walked out of Vikram Vedha to headline Mogul. Later, Hrithik Roshan stepped into his shoes for the Hindi remake.
Announced in 2017, the biopic was supposed to star Akshay Kumar in the lead. However, the actor had backed out due to alleged reasons.
The makers of Mogul are yet to issue an official statement regarding the ongoing reports.
