Karan Johar‘s upcoming directorial – Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani – stars Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in the lead.
The director-producer recently announced a remake of a popular Malayalam romantic drama.
KJo’s Dharma Productions and Fox Star Studios have acquired the remake rights of the Malayalam flick ‘Hridayam’.
On Friday (March 25), KJo took to his social media handle and shared that ‘Hridayam’ will be remade in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages.
Sharing the news, Karan wrote, “I am so delighted and honoured to share this news with you. Dharma Productions & Fox Star Studios have acquired the rights to a beautiful, coming-of-age love story, #Hridayam in Hindi, Tamil & Telugu all the way from the south, the world of Malayalam cinema. Directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan, ‘Hridayam’ released in theatres in January this year. The movie featured Pranav Mohanlal, Kalyani Priyadarshan, and Darshana Rajendran in the lead.
The synopsis of the Malayalam originl reads – “A man in his early 30s reflects on his misspent youth and the rocky road that brought him to adulthood.”
