Vikrant Massey-Vijay Sethupathi will be seen together in Mumbaikaar.
Directed by Santosh Sivan, the action-thriller is produced by Shibu Thameen.
‘Mumbaikar’, which also features Sanjay Mishra, Ranvir Shorey, Tanya Maniktala and Sachin Khedekar in pivotal roles, marks the Bollywood debut of Sethupathi and Shibu.
According to reports, the Vikrant Massey-Vijay Sethupathi starrer is the Hindi remake of hit Tamil film, ‘Maanagaram’. The original thriller revolved around 4 youngsters whose lives become interlinked.
Mumbaikar Release Date:
As per the latest Pinkvilla report, the much-awaited film is expected to release in May 2022. While the makers are planning for a theatre release, it is yet to be confirmed whether it will have an OTT release or not.
“Vijay Sethupathi and Vikrant Massey finished shooting for Mumbaikar last year. The makers wanted to release the film in 2021, but had to delay the same because of the Covid-19 pandemic. They have now finally decided to release the movie in May 2022. However, they are yet to decide on the date. The plan is to release it theatrically, but whether they finally release it in cinemas or take the OTT route will be decided next week. They will make the announcement soon.”

Set in Mumbai, the movie was shot in a start-to-finish schedule.
