The Malayalam film ‘The Great Indian Kitchen movie’ is getting a Hindi remake.
Producers Harman Baweja and Vicky Bahri have reportedly acquired the rights for the Hindi adaptation and casting for the project is ongoing now.
For the unversed, Nimisha Sajayan and Suraj Venjaramoodu had headlined the original. As per the latest buzz, the top contender for the female lead in The Great Indian Kitchen remake has been revealed.
A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Dangal fame Sanya Malhotra is being considered to reprise Nimisha Sajayan’s role in the Hindi remake of The Great Indian Kitchen. More details are awaited.”
The upcoming remake will take off filming in mid-2022. Nothing is confirmed as of now.
The Great Indian Kitchen Synopsis (Original):
“Post her marriage, a woman tries to fit into the conventional mould that society has prescribed for married women. But somewhere along the way, she starts feeling that this is not the life she wants.”
Meanwhile, Sanya Malhotra will next be seen in Love Hostel. She also has Sam Bahadur and HIT remake lined up ahead of her.
