Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Shamita Shetty and their mother Sunanda Shetty have landed in legal trouble.
As per reports, the trio have been summoned by the Andheri court.
According to India Today, a businessman named Parhad Amra, who is an automobile agency owner, has apparently filed a complaint against the Shettys at Juhu police station. He has allegedly accused them for non-payment of a loan worth Rs 21 lakhs.
In his complaint, Parhad alleged that Shilpa’s late father, Surendra Shetty, had borrowed Rs 21 lakh in 2015 and was supposed to pay it back with interest in January 2017. As per Parhad, the trio is now reportedly refusing to pay the said amount back.
The court has reportedly ordered Shilpa, Shamita and their mom to appear before it on February 28.
As per TOI, Surendra had borrowed the said amount at an 18% interest per year.
For the unversed, Shilpa and Shamita’s father Surendra Shetty had passed away on October 11, 2016.
The actresses are yet to comment on this matter.
