Post his OTT debut with the Raj and DK series Sunny, Shahid Kapoor has a collab with Ali Abbas Zafar next.
The duo will allegedly be working on remaking a foreign thriller film. It was previously reported that the project would be shot in Abu Dhabi.
Moreover, Bhumi Pednekar’s name was doing rounds for the female lead. And now, we have some more deets to dish out about this movie – apparently, it’s the adaptation of the French thriller Nuit Blanche.
A source revealed to Bollywood Hungama – “Ali got the rights to remake Nuit Blanche (Sleepless Nights in English), a film that stars Tomer Sisley as the lead.
The 2011 action thriller revolved around the life of a cop whose connection with the underworld comes out in the open when they try to steal drugs from a powerful drug lord, leaving his child’s life in danger. How he saves his child forms the rest of the story.”
The story is being tweaked a little – Shahid will play a cop who tries to beat the odds to save his daughter (original featured a son).
This adaptation is said to be a digital-only film. Meanwhile, Shahid will soon be seen in the Hindi remake of Jersey with Mrunal Thakur. He also has the Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra directorial mythological drama Karna.
