The ‘messiah’ Sonu Sood has become a real-life hero due to his humanitarian efforts during the Covid-19 lockdown.
The actor was recently made the brand ambassador of the Delhi Government’s ‘Desh Ke Mentor’ program.
Now, we hear that Sonu Soon has allegedly come under the scanner of the Income Tax department. According to the latest India Today report, the I-T department officials have reportedly conducted ‘SURVEYS’ on Wednesday (September 15) at 6 places linked to the actor and his companies in Mumbai & Lucknow.
As TOI reported, there has supposedly been alleged tampering in the account books related to the actor, which is why the IT department is surveying Sonu’s properties.
“A recent deal between Sonu Sood’s company and a Lucknow-based real estate firm is under the scanner. The survey operation has been initiated on allegations of tax evasion on this deal,” a source informed NDTV.
However, this is NOT an Income Tax RAID. As per reports, the I-T department is only examining Sonu’s sources of income and his assets. Apparently, no seizures have been made so far.
Reportedly, the reports of tax survey came days after Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had announced Sonu Sood as the brand ambassador for his government’s mentorship program for unprivileged school-going students in the capital.
